Rainbow Wood Farm is a three hundred acre working farm set in beautiful wooded countryside yet only a five minute drive from the centre of Bath.

The Georgian farm buildings were built originally for the Bath racecourse before it moved to its present location at Lansdown in the nineteenth century.

Evidence of much earlier occupation of the site has been found - a Roman building and Iron age field enclosures and barrow plus various arrowheads and flints from both the Bronze and Iron ages.

The tribal barrier of the Wansdyke passes through the farm. The Bath and West show was held here twice in the 1950s and 1960s before it moved to Shepton Mallet.

An ideal holiday with an opportunity to see a farm at work, where there are swings, a climbing frame and lots of lovely walks.

Guests are very welcome to watch farm activities; there are many animals - calves, cows and sheep, a minature Shetland pony called Biscuit, three Shire horses - Lady, Dusty and Mega - and Mickey the friendly sheepdog.
